‘The Stories that Make Us’ is all about working with communities to explore and celebrate cultural heritage and local distinctiveness.

In April 2023 the South West Heritage Trust embarked on an exciting three-year programme of creative and cultural opportunities after being awarded National Portfolio Organisation (NPO) status by Arts Council England. The programme aims to provide increased access to arts and culture and is enabling the Trust to deliver an ambitious programme of events and activities across the county, working with communities and a range of new partners. 

Thanks to an extension year, the ‘Stories that Make Us’ programme continues until the end of March 2027, allowing the Trust to deliver new and innovative ways for people to engage with heritage in ways that are meaningful to a diversity of audiences.
