Heritage for Everyone

‘Heritage for Everyone’ is a project where we aim to help people from the community improve their wellbeing through access to heritage opportunities.

This new initiative aims to enrich the lives of under-served communities through the power of cultural engagement, delivered via social prescribing. Running from 2023 to 2026 in Taunton, Glastonbury, and other areas, this project seeks to connect people with meaningful cultural experiences, supporting their well-being and fostering a sense of community. We will work with both adults and families at our museum sites providing talks, tours and engaging inter-generational experiences.

We understand that there are many barriers for people who find it difficult to access our sites. We will also deliver cultural experiences directly in the community in areas of most need. These will include reminiscence sessions, object handling opportunities and family activities.
