Weston Now focused on part of the community in Weston-super-Mare, encouraging people to express their stories about the town through artwork and sound recordings.
Treasure Troves focused on the importance of our own personal objects, in comparison to ‘valuable’ heritage collections and objects such as the Cheddar Brooch.
We worked with a variety of audiences to create a sound piece, to accompany the big Christmas Tree at the Somerset Rural Life Museum. Also, we worked with local artists and children to create ‘A Chorus of Angels’.
Over the course of the year, the team attended various community events across the county, bringing heritage and creativity to a wide range of audiences.
