Somerset schools can borrow a wide range of real and replica Museum objects to support learning across a range of topics in the classroom.

Our packs contain a selection of resources, including genuine artefacts, models, printed materials and other useful information for teachers.

Some of our items are very large, so please let us know if you’re short on storage space.

Handling Film

This film explains how to safely handle original and replica historical objects, to protect both the objects and students. We recommend all schools who are using objects provided through the South West Heritage Trust learning programme show this film to their students before handling the objects.
