After some careful development work and planning, we have begun to deliver our early years programme in a new and improved way!
An excellent member of the Trust’s learning team, with experience with the early years age group, has joined our team to deliver our Fascinating & Curious Museum sessions. This has allowed us to be more strategic with with how we advertise and deliver these sessions, leading to queries from 80+ early years settings and childminders across Somerset. We have managed to collect great feedback from settings, as well as photographs, to document the sessions and overall improve our reporting/development.
“The children had a fantastic time — it was such a rich and engaging experience for them.
The facilitators knowledge, enthusiasm and patience were truly exceptional and made the session incredibly special for both children and staff.”

We are making our way through our list of all the settings who have reached out to us to book a session. We have already hit our target, but are continuing to book as many sessions as we can, so that early years children and practitioners across the county get a fair chance to experience heritage in this way.
If you would like to find out more, or would like to give some feedback about a session you’ve been part of, please reach out via email at stories@swheritage.org.uk. Or, fill in the form on the ‘Want to know more?’ page, which you can find within the sidebar on the right hand side.
