This is a course for people interested in learning how to read the old handwriting to be found in archival documents.

The course, to be held at the Somerset Heritage Centre in Taunton, will focus on English documents from the 17th to the 19th centuries. We will have some original examples on hand for you to test your new skills on. 

The course is suitable for people starting to use original documents held in record offices for family, house and local history research.
