An historic painting of Kingston St Mary has been gifted to the South West Heritage Trust, following restoration work.
The oil painting, which is unsigned, shows the main street of the village in around 1810 and many of the buildings are still recognisable.
The painting was restored thanks to the fundraising efforts of the Kingston St Mary History Society, who gifted it to the Trust.
It had been given to the Society by the late Gerald Hooper who lived in the village.
Kingston St Mary History Society Archivist Alan Hughes said: “The Society is extremely grateful to all those who contributed in many ways to helping to save this painting.”
