The Museum of Somerset, Taunton
The Museum of Somerset at Taunton Castle is a wonderful Grade 1 listed building in the heart of the town. Individual areas and rooms, or the whole Museum, may be hired to provide a special dimension to your event or meeting. The Museum is equipped with high-quality AV facilities and contains spacious and versatile room options.
Castle House is part of the original 12th-century Taunton Castle, home to The Museum of Somerset. This beautiful and historic property has been refurbished to the highest standard, and is a bookable holiday cottage, for a holiday in a house with unique history and character.
Somerset Rural Life Museum, Glastonbury
The Abbey Barn dates back to the 14th Century and is full of character, the perfect place for a variety of events.
Our Community Learning Room is a bright contemporary space available for hire to the local community. Floor-to-ceiling glass doors look out on to the central farmyard and the 14th-century Abbey Barn.
Avalon Archaeology, Glastonbury
The archaeological reconstructions are filled with hand-crafted furniture and authentic art making an atmospheric setting for your special occasion.
The Saxon Longhall offers an atmospheric setting for celebrant-led weddings and handfasting ceremonies.
The Roman Villa Dining Room is also a usable indoor spaces within the wider backdrop of the site.
Somerset Heritage Centre, Taunton
This new state-of-the-art venue can host two good-sized meeting rooms, the largest taking up to 50 people. WiFi is available along with integrated AV display, hearing loop, refreshments and free parking. It is easily accessible on the northern outskirts of Taunton.

Devon Heritage Centre, Exeter
Devon Heritage Centre is close to the M5 in Exeter. The searchroom can accommodate 80 people and is available for hire on a Monday. Two other meeting rooms are also available Monday to Friday, accommodating 30 and 15 people respectively.
