Join us for our monthly sessions designed specifically for Home Educated children. Each of the sessions explores a different theme from the past, delving into the crafts and looking at the artefacts from prehistory, the romans and the early medieval period. With exclusive use of the Avalon Archaeology site, we’ll examine and utilise our unique reconstructed buildings as the perfect setting for hands-on learning about history and archaeology.

Upcoming Itinerary 

May’s session will transport us into the world of the Anglo Saxons and the crafts that shaped their world.

June’s session we will take a look at the raiders and traders from Scandinavia, the Vikings.

July will link to the Festival of Archaeology with a special session learning the skills of the archaeologist.

Need to Know:

• Suitable for children aged 7-14 years. Please no children outside of this age group.
• Children must be accompanied by an adult. No more than 4 children per adult.
