Somerset Rural Life Museum, Glastonbury
Salary: £26,525 per annum
Hours: full-time, working 37 hours over a 7-day week on a rota basis
Contract: fixed-term for three years
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Museum Manager to lead Somerset Rural Life Museum into a new era. The Museum re-opened two years ago after a major redevelopment and is now looking for a new manager to help develop a vibrant and thriving museum.
The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a historic site, visitor attraction or business and will have a proven track record of successfully organising events, managing staff and working with the local community. We are looking for someone with a passion for customer service and delivering first class experiences for visitors.
The Museum Manager will be responsible for all of the day to day running of the site. They will collaborate with teams across the South West Heritage Trust and with external partners to drive commercial success and deliver the organisation’s charitable aims.
