Museum Manager

The Museum of Somerset, Taunton

Salary: £27,191 per annum

Hours: full-time, working 37 hours over a 7-day week on a rota basis

Contract: permanent

We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Museum Manager to lead the visitor experience at The Museum of Somerset in Taunton. The Museum is a very popular visitor attraction in the southwest of England and we are seeking a new manager to maintain and build on its excellent reputation as a vibrant and thriving destination. 

The ideal candidate will have experience of managing a historic site, visitor attraction or business and will have a proven track record of successfully organising events, managing staff and working with the local community. We are looking for someone with a passion for customer service and delivering first class experiences for visitors.

The Museum Manager will be responsible for all of the day to day running of the site. They will collaborate with teams across the South West Heritage Trust and with external partners to drive commercial success and deliver the organisation’s charitable aims.
