Know Your Place is an interactive collection of historic maps covering South West England. It allows you to view conservation records and compare landscapes across time. There’s also a \u2018Community Layer\u2019 which lets members of the public record their own heritage. This is where you can add to the Local Heritage List.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Follow the steps below for guidance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Have your information ready<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

To make a listing, you’ll need to provide details about the chosen candidate. Have a look at our guidelines about what can be listed<\/a> (and the definition of a ‘building’). And check the nomination advice page<\/a> to find out what information we’re looking for (this includes a building’s basic details, a description showing how it meets the criteria, and photos or documents to upload).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. Go to the map<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
