Coming up: 18th January 2020
Join us to take part in the ancient Wassail custom and enjoy an evening of music and dancing.
Wassail is an ancient custom traditionally observed on Old Twelfth Night. The ceremony takes place in the Abbey Barn and around the oldest apple tree in the orchard. The purpose is to promote a good apple crop for the following year.
Les Davies – Westcountryman MBE, will once again be joining us as our Master of Ceremonies for the evening; crowning our Wassail King or Queen and blessing our cider trees. We are also delighted that local band Rapscallion will also be returning, for plenty of music and dancing!
The ticket price includes a drink on arrival, kindly sponsored by Hecks Farmhouse Cider of Street and a piece of apple cake. Hot refreshments and further drinks are available to purchase on the night (cash only please.)
£12 per adult and £8 per child
