Coming up: 28th March 2020
During this dynamic and informative session, visitors will have the opportunity to explore and build confidence in looking at art, focusing on the exhibition ‘Landscapes of the Mind: The Art of Tristram Hillier’.
Art is often seen as an area over-complicated by jargon and unnecessary barriers. This workshop will provide an accessible and engaging way to develop tools for looking at, and engaging with art.
Visitors will begin in the gallery space, trusting their immediate responses to choose the artworks they most respond to. They will then be introduced to some of the strategies you can use to slow down your experience of engaging with art, looking in a more mindful way that helps you engage more closely and dismantle the barriers. You will be left with some guiding principles that will open doors into the fascinating world of looking at art.
