The Devon Archives and Local Studies service will be running another beginners’ course in palaeography in the spring of 2019.

The six session course, which is taught by Dr. John Booker, a retired archivist with more than forty years’ experience as a palaeography tutor, aims to equip participants with the skills to tackle the reading and interpretation of a range of types of document from the sixteenth century onwards.

The course is suitable for beginners or those with a basic knowledge who would like more experience, and the documents analysed and discussed will date from between 1550 and 1750.
