At this very concerning time the health and wellbeing of visitors, staff and volunteers is of paramount importance to the South West Heritage Trust.
For that reason the Trust has decided to close all its sites to the public from 5.00 pm on Wednesday 18 March. These sites are:

Somerset Rural Life Museum, Glastonbury
Somerset Brick and Tile Museum, Bridgwater
Somerset Heritage Centre, Taunton
Devon Heritage Centre, Exeter
North Devon Record Office, Barnstaple
If you have booked and paid in advance for an event, please contact the venue via email and we would be happy to provide a refund.
We don’t yet know when we’ll reopen, but look forward to welcoming you back as soon as we can.

Q. Will you be able to answer my Research Service request/my initial enquiry?
A. We will endeavour to answer general questions during this time, although our response may take longer. Unfortunately, we are unable to access the majority of our collections at present. Due to this we cannot check, search or provide copies of the vast majority of documents through our research service. We would ask that you please contact us with your request when the service returns to normal operation.
